As the world commemorates the International Day of Reflection on the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi in Rwanda, the Rwandan Community in South Sudan is sharing key lessons with the South Sudanese people.
Chairperson of the Rwandan Community, William Ngabonziza, emphasises the importance of accountability and collective ambition, urging communities to “think big” together. He acknowledges that forgiveness was a difficult ask for survivors, but says it has been instrumental in putting Rwanda on a path toward reconciliation and development.
