At the time of release, April 27th marks the 50th Anniversary of Lella Lombardi's sixth place finish at the 1975 Spanish Grand Prix at Montjuïc, Barcelona. To this day, it still remains the last time a woman scored a point in an F1 race. To mark the occasion, Autosport Editor-In-Chief Kevin Turner sits down with Jon Saltinstall, author of the upcoming biography "Lella Lombardi: The Tigress of Turin" for a retrospective on her career.
It's a wide-ranging podcast that includes how Lella got to F1 inspite of poltiical challenges, of course, the 1975 GP itself, and how her experience as truck driver shaped her life on and off the track.
