High Vaccine Uptake Boosts Cholera Fight in South Sudan: WHO

The World Health Organization in South Sudan, in partnership with the Ministry of Health, has ramped up its cholera response through a nationwide vaccination campaign aimed at curbing the spread of the disease. With reported cases now exceeding 50,000, the vaccine is already making a noticeable impact in areas where it has been administered. According to WHO’s Technical Officer for Oral Cholera Vaccine, community uptake and acceptance of the vaccine have been very high.
