Unlike monsters or ghosts, the devil isn’t just a creature lurking in the dark; he’s a symbol of corruption from within, capable of whispering doubts into our minds and turning our own desires against us. His power lies not in brute force but in seduction, deceit, and the fear that even the purest soul can fall. Whether we believe in him literally or metaphorically, the devil represents a darkness we can’t always see… but instinctively know is there.
