Who says a dream home can’t double as a paranormal construction zone? Kathy thought she was moving into a quirky, half-finished “castle” in the country—octagon turret, three stories, the works. What she got instead was an invisible contractor in steel-toed boots clomping around after midnight, a phantom tool belt that dropped screws like confetti, and walls mysteriously redecorated with child-height crayon scribbles (conveniently appearing in a house with zero crayons). Overnight, the footsteps stop, the crayons retire, and Kathy’s DIY nightmare finally gets its occupancy permit—minus the spectral work crew.
