Gladewater – 9‑Foot Alligator Removed
A 9‑foot alligator was discovered roaming downtown Gladewater on June 2. The Gladewater Police, Fire Department, and a Texas Game Warden safely relocated it to the Sabine River with no injuries reported.
Across the East Texas Region – Severe Storm Damage
A line of June 8 storms swept across East Texas, causing widespread damage to homes, businesses, and electrical lines, particularly in Van Zandt, Smith, and Gregg counties. Cleanup and repair efforts continue.

Council races drawing interest: A growing number of local residents have expressed interest in upcoming city council seats, signaling an engaged and active community.
