"For Jazz in Grunge, I let myself be guided by the original field recording and it's rudeness; both the content and the recording itself are very rootsy, rural and taken from everyday life; water, cows, dogs, wind, with its typical superficial dullness and underlying tension. 

"I tried, through audio manipulation and composition, to bring these initial characteristics to the forefront, in a context of musical unnameability and freedom."
