In this episode of Good Deeds, host Nanette Wiser talks with Lisa Suprenand, CEO of the Ronald McDonald House Charities Tampa Bay (RMHC Tampa Bay) about their expansion. On May 7, they celebrated the grand opening of their 5th House at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital and is open and supporting both day-use and overnight families in need of critical care housing. The first overnight families checked in on June 3, marking a major milestone in our mission to keep families close during medical crises. This is a pivotal expansion that directly addresses the rising demand for pediatric support housing in the Tampa Bay region. We talked about all the ways this organization helps families and some heartfelt moments in Lisa's journey with the organization. Photo: Sofia Stack, Marketing Manager & Lisa Suprenand, CEO
What is life like for families at RMHCTB? Imagine learning your child has a life threatening illness such as cancer, heart disease, or a serious injury. It’s every parent’s worst nightmare. Families often must leave home, miss work, and face overwhelming expenses just to be near their child. That’s where RMHC Tampa Bay steps in. We provide housing, meals, and a supportive community so families can focus on what matters most: their child’s healing.
