On Feb. 11, 2022, additional COVID-19 resources include vaccine, testing, booster, and scam information from OHA, CDC, Medline.gov, FTC, Oregon DOJ, and HHS. Viral tests (Antigen or NAATs) detect current SARS-CoV-2 infection; antibody tests detect past infection/vaccination. NAATs (e.g., PCR) are most accurate, detecting early infection, with results in 2-5 days. Antigen tests are faster but less accurate, best for symptomatic individuals. Positive viral tests are over 95% accurate. Self-tests are risk-reduction tools: positive means isolate; negative requires retesting within days (24h apart). Test 3-8 days post-exposure/symptoms. Beware of fake testing sites: asking for SSN/passport without alternatives, no privacy notice, unsolicited calls/texts, misspellings in URLs, or staff without PPE. Find legitimate sites via your doctor or healthoregon.org/covid19testing. Take at-home tests immediately if symptomatic; wait 3-5 days post-exposure. "Invalid" or "Error" means the test malfunctioned; contact the manufacturer or seek professional help. Local vaccine events: Feb. 12 (11 a.m.-4 p.m.) at Rosewood Initiative (16126 SE Stark St, Portland); Feb. 15 (2-8 p.m.) and Feb. 17 (8 a.m.-2 p.m.) at Lloyd Center (1260 Lloyd Center, Portland). More events at multco.us/vaccineclinics. OHA provides accessibility at 1-971-673-2411, 711 TTY, or COVID19.LanguageAccess@dhsoha.state.or.us.
