It's common to hear about agent rulers, client nations and vassal states. It's common to hear about leaders who are not independent or who are dictated to by Washington, London or Paris. Why would anyone want to be an agent? It seems like the life of a slave? How do we make sense of agency? Where does this all fit into geopolitics.
