The Wayback #82 | Des Bishop

Des Bishop slides into The Wayback as we take a ride to Queens, NY and Ireland of the 80s and early 90s (Check his stand up special “OF ALL PEOPLE” on YouTube).  Des gets nostalgic about some his family’s first cars like the Plymouth Duster and Mercury Cougar, vacations at the Jersey Shore, and Old TV shows like The Patchwork Family.  He also talks about being sent to Catholic boarding school in Ireland as a teenager, and some of the fun and darkness he encountered there.  We then reminisce about an iconic hang out spot of the 1980s, the roller rink, and recount the joys of one of the most underrated staples of our childhoods, the above ground pool!
