Some great news for blind and partially sighted people going to this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2025 as Extant, the UK’s leading professional performing arts company of blind and visually impaired artists, has announced plans to make an Edinburgh Festival Fringe venue fully accessible for visually impaired audiences.
This landmark Extant collaboration is with ZOO Venues in partnership with Sight Scotland and Visually Impaired Creators Scotland (VICS).
Three headline performances at ZOO will feature Extant Enhance – a bold and innovative programme that reimagines access as a creative and collaborative process.
The three shows are Holly Gifford’s Big Little Sister, Shaper/Caper’s Small Town Boys and Full Out Formula/Almanac Projects’ I Think It Could Work.
RNIB Connect Radio’s Toby Davey caught up with Tam Gilbert, Extant’s Trainee Artistic Director to find out more about this fantastic collaboration with ZOO Venues.
