🎙️ Big Broadway Energy: Episode – Meet Playwright Tina Esper

In this episode of Big Broadway Energy, host Stephen Riordan sits down with award-winning playwright Tina Esper, who joins the show from her home in Montclair, NJ. Tina shares her inspiring journey—returning to the arts after raising a family, earning her MFA in Playwriting at Boston University, and now creating bold, moving work that centers older women.

Stephen and Tina dive deep into the themes of feminism, ageism, reinvention, and the healing power of storytelling. They explore her latest comedy Tight, which will debut as a staged reading at The Studio@620 as part of its new New Works program—a fresh initiative uplifting underrepresented voices in theater.

Tune in for an honest, funny, and moving conversation about creative courage, late-in-life artistry, and the enduring impact of community-driven theater.
