Our guest today is Keith Matter, the founder, editor and publisher of The Artisan magazine.
Established three years ago, the advertising-driven Artisan is focused on the Tampa Bay visual arts community (mostly St. Pete), with forays into stage and the performing arts.
Along with the digital edition, the tabloid-style glossy magazine, full color, is published every two months and distributed to galleries and other venues in Pinellas, Hillsborough and Manatee counties, including (from the website) “top tier hotels on the beaches, million-dollar condos, fine restaurants and more.” It is the only printed product in the area devoted exclusively to the arts.
Matter, who’s lived in the bay area since the mid 1980s, has a B.S. in journalism from Towson State University in Baltimore. #stpetecatalyst #billdeyoung #theartisan #artison #keithmatter #tampabay #radio #radiostpete
