I Love You (In The Lord)

There was a shift in warmth from my Mom after I came out of the closet, and she started saying I Love You, but qualifies it saying, I Love You In The Lord. For so long it hurt my heart to hear it said to me that way and she continued even when I asked her to stop.
We’re way past that now.
But qualifying your Love for someone falls short, in my opinion, of the real genuine Love that’s behind the sentiment
