Her daughter Monte Mae, age 4, serves alongside her learning the ropes as a Future Leader Ambassador.
ABOUT THE DOCUMENTARY & EVENT Five Future Leaders from the Academy Prep Center of St. Petersburg will walk  the red carpet for the premiere of "The Impossible Dream: Carried By The Light (A Future Leaders Journey)," a new documentary chronicling their life-changing trip to Cambodia. The film will debut on Sunday, August 24, with screenings at 2 p.m. (full) and 3:00 p.m. (seats available) at GreenLight Cinema and is free and open to the public. Due to limited seating, an RSVP is required: info@alltheworldskidsinc.org.  "The Impossible Dream" follows the students as they travel with the local nonprofit All the World’s Kids to rural Cambodia, where they built and installed 9 life-saving water filters in one week. The documentary captures the emotional journey of global service. "We believe that global service trips like this are pivotal in shaping the next generation of leaders," said Lauren Hubbard, Founder and CEO of All the World's Kids. "This film is a testament to the students' incredible resilience and compassion. They're not just learning about making a difference—they're living it." The premiere event will include a reception at 1 p.m., where attendees can meet the scholars featured in the film, as well as Lauren Hubbard. The screening will be followed by the announcement of next summer's Global Impact Expedition destination and details on scholarships for local students to participate.  “This experience taught me so much more than I ever could have learned in a classroom. We didn't just build water filters; we built connections with people who live so differently than we do, but who showed us so much kindness,” said Darren Calhoun. “I'm incredibly thankful to All the World's Kids for giving us this opportunity to see the world and find the compassion inside of us."
