Witches, wigs, and… fake dead sharks? In this episode, Kyra and Tony dive broom-first into the 1996 cult classic The Craft that defined a generation of teen witch cinema. While VFX was starting to make it's way onto the big screen, Tony was still working the SFX of the film in a time before silicone prosthetics existed. Hear all about how he and his team were able to work around the limitations of the time to create realistic burns and scars for Neve Campbell that you could really stab into. As well as producing seven full sized dead sharks and real time hair loss on a girl who, well, probably (definitely) deserved it. But that’s not all. Tony also drops a major insider secret: a scene that was filmed involving his first age makeup but never made it into the final cut of the movie. It’s a sequence that has never been released, not even hidden away on YouTube — and he’s sharing it here. Determine for yourself if the cut scene would have improved the finished film, or maybe was better left on the cutting room floor.
