On September 9, the Florida Holocaust Museum (FHM) in downtown St. Petersburg Florida will re-open after a refresh and expansion. Host Nanette Wiser spoke with Eric B. Stillman, FHM President & Chief Executive Officer. Stillman’s career has focused on leadership and development, primarily within the Jewish nonprofit sector. He has served as the CEO of the Jewish Federation and Jewish Foundation of Nashville and Middle Tennessee, President & CEO of the Jewish Federation of Broward County, and Executive Director of the Jewish Federation of Greater New Orleans, as well has holding leadership roles at the Jewish Federation of Rhode Island, the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington, and the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County.
“I am excited to serve as the President and CEO of The Florida Holocaust Museum,” said Stillman. “With my deep personal commitment to and belief in the importance of Holocaust education, I know that The Museum’s public programs, collections, and resources are instrumental in helping society understand the lessons of the Holocaust and commit to fighting antisemitism.”

🔶 Re-Imagined Core Exhibition: History, Heritage, and Hope
Includes USC Shoah Foundation’s Dimensions in Testimony℠ enables people to ask questions that prompt real-time responses from pre-recorded video interviews with Holocaust survivors and other witnesses to genocide. This pioneering project integrates advanced filming techniques, specialized display technologies and next generation natural language processing to create an interactive biography.
Now and far into the future, museum-goers, students and others can have conversational interactions with these eyewitnesses to history to learn from those who were there.
🔶 Thor—a Danish fishing boat used in the 1943 rescue of over 7,000 Jews
🔶 Special Preview: The Wiesel Collection From The FHM Collection, in partnership with The Elie Wiesel Foundation for Humanity Get a first look at select pieces from The Wiesel Collection, entrusted to The FHM in 2024. This special preview offers a glimpse into the life and legacy of Nobel Laureate and Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel, and honors the extraordinary contributions of Marion Wiesel, translator, humanitarian, and fellow survivor. The complete collection – spanning from Professor Wiesel’s NYC and Boston offices, as well as Mrs. Wiesel’s personal items, to occupy the third floor of The Florida Holocaust Museum, will come in a later phase of The FHM’s building projects.
🔶Special Exhibit: "I'll Have What She's Having: The Jewish Deli" from The Skirball Cultural Center On view at The FHM from September 2025 - January 2026
Step into the rich, flavorful story of the Jewish deli, from cultural cornerstone to national icons, inspiring everything from film classics like When Harry Met Sally to cherished family traditions. Come hungry for history and leave full of inspiration.
