This isn’t your typical fairy tale. It’s a girl vs. nature epic. In this thrilling collaboration between American Stage, The Florida Orchestra and projectALCHEMY Dance Company, The Good Peaches follows a girl’s wishes for upheaval … and the aftermath of a wish granted. Set against the roaring waves of a massive storm, The Good Peaches blends music, theater and dance in a dazzling extravaganza.
👉The piece originally developed at The Cleveland Orchestra with 56 musicians is reimagined, adding dance and multimedia, plus new pieces to the one-hour show. Blending theatre, orchestral music, and contemporary dance, The Good Peaches explores the intersection of art, memory, and identity in times of upheaval. Featuring Benjamin Britten’s Four Seasons Interlude performed live by The Florida Orchestra, dramatic storytelling brought to life by American Stage actors, and movement embodied by the company dance artists of projectALCHEMY, this one-of-a-kind experience pushes the boundaries of performance art.
