Presented by Friends of Albert Whitted Airport & Roundhouse Creative, the remarkable story of Albert Whitted Aiport – St. Petersburg’s small airport with a big legacy. Albert Whitted Airport has long been a gateway to dreams for aviators and the local community in St. Petersburg, Florida. Now, the airport’s rich history, its pivotal role in aviation, and its deep ties to the community will be spotlighted in an upcoming documentary produced by acclaimed filmmakers Andrew Lee and Laura Landry of Roundhouse Creative Studio.

Celebrated Filmmakers with a Legacy of Excellence Andrew Lee and Laura Landry are not just producers; they are master storytellers whose work has garnered significant critical acclaim and a multitude of prestigious awards. Roundhouse’s 2008 documentary “Easy Street,” which was featured on Netflix, followed five homeless people for a year in St. Petersburg – exploring an important city issue and the complex human conditions at its core. Over the years, they have collectively amassed 34 ADDY Awards, including 5 Documentary ADDY Awards, highlighting their exceptional skills in advertising and documentary filmmaking. Their commitment to excellence is further exemplified by 13 Suncoast Emmy® nominations and an impressive 7 Suncoast Emmy® wins, recognizing their outstanding contributions to television broadcasting. Their impactful storytelling has also been honored with 3 NETA National Public Media Awards, underscoring their dedication to producing content that serves the public interest. In 2021, they received the Griot Drum Community Hero TV Feature Reporting Award from the Tampa Bay Association of Black Journalists, acknowledging their efforts in highlighting community heroes and promoting diversity in media.
