THE CLASSICAL SCENE Ep.11 Anjan Shah & Victor Huls 9/15/25
Welcome to Episode 11 of THE CLASSICAL SCENE with Dr. Victor Minke Huls, Associate Principal Cellist of The Florida Orchestra. Today’s guest is Anjan Shah of the Taal Temporal Collective.

The Temporal Taal Collective is an ensemble that transcends the ordinary, merging sound and movement to create a rich, immersive experience. With Anjan Shah on bansuri and saxophone, Nabin Shrestha on tabla, Amy Shook on bass, Jonathan Epley on guitar, and Sarah Morelli, Kathak dancer, this award-winning group delivers a powerful blend of Indian classical music, jazz, and global influences. Their performances draw on the legacy of cross-cultural projects like Yo-Yo Ma’s Silkroad and John McLaughlin’s legendary Shakti, bringing together diverse musical traditions in an exhilarating fusion of genres.
Curated in collaboration with Palladium Creative Fellow Ella Fredrickson, Spice & Sound is an intimate, multi-sensory event where the worlds of music, cuisine, and storytelling intertwine. Designed to create a rich, immersive experience, this offering showcases the artistry of the Temporal Taal Collective to create an evening that stimulates the senses and fosters meaningful connections.
