The Ballon d’Or is a meaningless trinket (...and what’s going on at Villa?)

Why does everyone get so obsessed with the Ballon d’Or? It’s an individual award in a team sport, it’s not logical to afford it so much importance. It’s like taking the BBC’s Sports Personality of the Year seriously. You’re all mad.
