Lunchtime Conversation host Nanette Wiser enjoys the TBCC newsletter "The Beach Brief" from Charlie Justice, President/CEO Tampa Bay Beaches Chamber of Commerce (TBCC), so we asked him to come in monthly to give us an update on how the beaches are doing (permits, renourishment, infrastructure and more) and preview upcoming events (Taste of the Beaches). With more ribbon cuttings daily (Frog Pond in Redington) as businesses re-open or new businesses evolve (Adrian's Prime St. Pete Beach soon), Justice and his team have their finger on the pulse of the beaches.
ABOUT JUSTICE In January 2025, the Tampa Bay Beaches Chamber of Commerce (TBBC) welcomed Charlie Justice as the board’s new CEO, replacing the dedicated and amazing Robin Miller who moved to a new job out of state. Justice has experience with state and local governments. For the past 12 years, he worked as a Pinellas County Commissioner representing District 3. In the early 2000s, Justice represented the 53rd District in the Florida House of Representatives for six years. Later, he became a state senator from the 16th district for four years.
ABOUT THE CHAMBER The Tampa Bay Beaches Chamber of Commerce, also known as the Gulf Beaches Chamber, is one of the largest chambers in the Tampa Bay area. They primarily serve all of the gulf beach communities in Pinellas County, from Sand Key to Tierra Verde. Every day they strive to connect members, educate our members, and advocate for our members.  Originally established in 1958 as the St. Pete Beach Chamber of Commerce. Then, in 1989, multiple chambers along the beaches decided to condense into one, forming the Gulf Beaches of Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce. Eight years later in 1997, the decision was made to shorten the name to the Tampa Bay Beaches Chamber.
