Her first haunting began after visiting historic St. Mary’s City, where she felt an overwhelming sadness she couldn’t explain. When she returned home, that sorrow turned into something else entirely — a presence. He was a 13-year-old boy who made himself known by stealing objects, knocking things over, and showing jealousy whenever her boyfriend came around. His energy was mischievous… but possessive. After two days of tears and endless footsteps echoing through her home, she called a priest. The blessing worked — for a while.
Years later, another spirit found her. This time, after visiting Point Lookout — once a Civil War hospital and prison camp — she brought home the smell of pipe tobacco and a raging, unseen fisherman spirit. Her children saw him too, standing at the foot of their beds, shouting. The anger, the darkness, the draining energy — it was all real.
Once again, the priest returned. “This guy’s got to go,” he said — and he did.
But some attachments never fully disappear. Because when you live in one of the most haunted corners of America… the past doesn’t always stay buried.
