Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Psalm 3:5

He that covereth a transgression seeketh love; but he that repeateth a matter separateth very friends. -Proverbs 17:9

DEVOTION
Based on Proverbs 17
Love chooses to cover, not expose. Proverbs 17:9 shows us the wisdom of forgiveness and discretion. To “cover a transgression” is not to ignore sin but to let love lead in how we respond. It’s the difference between healing and harming.

Repeating offenses—primarily through gossip—tears relationships apart. But choosing to protect and forgive preserves love. This kind of mercy doesn’t come easily, but it reflects God’s own grace. In a world quick to share and slow to forgive, God calls us to love that heals and holds others up.
A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
ADORATION: Father, You are rich in mercy and slow to anger. You have covered my sins in love through Jesus.

CONFESSION: I confess I’ve repeated things I should have let go, and sometimes failed to guard others’ dignity.

THANKSGIVING: Thank You for Your constant grace—for not exposing my every flaw, but covering me with love and calling me friend.

SUPPLICATION: Help me to be merciful like You. Teach me when to speak and when to stay silent. Let my love protect others instead of dividing. Please make me a source of healing in every relationship.

PRAYER
“My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.”
PSALM 3:5
Dear Lord, You are as steady as the rising sun. You are dependable, faithful, and always follow through. I want my rising and moving to be predictably passionate for Your name. May my voice of praises to You in the morning be something You can count on. Help me to develop holy habits of prayer and thanksgiving every day, so I can fully step into the calling You have for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏🏾
