Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Amos 3:3
Can two walk together, except they be agreed?”
AMOS 3:3
DEVOTION
Based on Amos 3
Unity is essential for walking closely with someone. This verse highlights the power of agreement, not just in opinion, but in heart, purpose, and direction. A lasting connection requires alignment in friendship, marriage, or ministry.
It doesn’t mean we must be identical, but we must share common values and vision. God invites us to walk in step with Him, which means yielding to His ways and letting go of what leads us astray. True fellowship is born from mutual submission, love, and understanding. Without agreement, forward movement stalls.
A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
ADORATION: Lord, I praise You for walking with me in grace and truth. You are steady and faithful and always invite me to deeper alignment with You.
CONFESSION: Forgive me for the times I’ve resisted walking in agreement with You or with others. I’ve let pride or stubbornness create division.
THANKSGIVING: Thank You for the people You’ve placed in my life who walk beside me with purpose and grace. Thank You for Your Spirit who guides us in unity.
SUPPLICATION: Father, teach me to walk harmoniously with others and You. Where there’s disunity, bring peace. Where there’s pride, bring humility. Help me to seek shared purpose and Christlike love in all my relationships.
PRAYER
“Can two walk together, except they be agreed?”
AMOS 3:3
Dear Lord, Walking in agreement with the same vision is not an easy task. Even for those that are married, there are competing desires and opinions. We pray for our own relationships, marriages, and friendships; we pray that You would unify us under You. May Your vision for us bind us together in one accord. May we walk hand and hand with each other, holding one another up on the long journey that is life. Strengthen and humble us, Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏🏾
