Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Proverbs 3:9-10
Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: Soshall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.”
PROVERBS 3:9-10
DEVOTION
Based on Proverbs 3
These verses teach us the principle of honoring God first—with our resources, our time, and our hearts. Giving the “firstfruits” means offering God the best and the first of what we have, not what’s left over. It’s a posture of worship and trust, acknowledging that everything we have comes from Him.
When we put God first, we invite His blessing. This doesn’t always mean material abundance, but it does mean a life marked by His provision, peace, and purpose. He promises to care for those who trust Him with everything.
Take a moment tonight to evaluate what you’re offering to God. Breathe out worry over provision, and breathe in trust. Ask Him to help you honor Him first in every area of your life.

ADORATION: Praise God as your Provider and Sustainer. Worship Him for being worthy of your first and best, not just what remains.
CONFESSION: Reflect on times when you’ve withheld from God—whether time, resources, or obedience. Confess any lack of trust and ask Him to realign your priorities.
THANKSGIVING: Thank God for every blessing He’s already provided. Express gratitude for His faithful provision and the opportunity to give back to Him.
SUPPLICATION: Father, help me to honor You with all I have. Teach me to give joyfully and trust fully in Your provision. Let my heart delight in putting You first, and fill my life with the richness of Your presence and purpose.

O Lord God, You are the ultimate source of all wisdom and understanding. We thank You that Your Word is true and trustworthy. Teach us, O Lord, how to honor You with our hearts and our lives. Help us to trust in Your divine plan for our lives and joyfully obey Your commands so we can experience the delight and pleasure of Your blessings. May we have contentment now in following You, knowing that the ultimate enjoyment will come when we abide with You forever and ever. In Jesus' name, Amen. 🙏🏾
