Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.”

Based on Proverbs 27
This verse highlights the power of godly relationships. Just as iron sharpens iron, strong, honest friendships help us grow in character, wisdom, and faith. True friends encourage us, challenge us, and hold us accountable. Through these connections, we become sharper—more effective and more faithful in our walk with God.
We were never meant to walk alone. God places people in our lives to strengthen and refine us. Healthy relationships rooted in love and truth help us become more like Christ. As we sharpen others, we, too, are sharpened.
Take a moment tonight to reflect on the people God has placed in your life. Breathe out of isolation, and breathe in gratitude for the community. Ask God to help you be a faithful friend who sharpens others in love and truth.

SUPPLICATION: Father, help me to be a friend who sharpens others in love and truth. Teach me to encourage, challenge, and support those You’ve placed in my life. Strengthen my relationships so we may grow together in faith, bringing glory to You.

Dear Lord, Thank You for the blessing of friendship. We can never underestimate the power of relationships and how they shape our lives. Like iron sharpens iron, we are blessed to have those in our lives that sharpen us, pushing us to be better versions of ourselves. Thank You for giving us friends who motivate us to be brave, courageous and to never settle. Thank You for being our faithful guide on this journey of life. May we all remember that it is in friendship that we find our greatest joys and successes. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏🏾
