Make A Difference Minute: Abby’s Message of Service and Community Support

On this Make A Difference Minute, Girl Scout Abby Wilson shares how quickly her community responded when she asked for help collecting plastic lids for her Silver Award project. In just a short time, neighbors and local fire stations stepped up, helping her gather an incredible 650 pounds of recyclable material that became buddy benches and toddler picnic tables.

Abby also offers the message she hopes others will take from her project, that even small acts, when supported by many people, can create something meaningful and lasting. It’s a reminder of what can happen when a community chooses to work together.
