A man stood at the end of a road that wasn’t finished yet. No expression. No urgency. Just watching the tree line like he was waiting for someone… or something… to arrive. Nothing about him was dramatic or supernatural — until the second she looked away. Because when she looked back, the man was gone in a place where disappearing wasn’t possible.
No path. No sound. No chance he simply walked away.
And years later, Molly still wonders which is more unsettling: seeing a stranger where no stranger should be… or knowing he vanished without ever taking a step.
