Welcome to Story Time with Janet Keeler. I'm Janet, a former journalist and now a journalism professor at Eckhart College, who just happens to be in love with children's picture books. This podcast is for grandparents, parents, babysitters, caretakers, and kids of all ages who want to share the joy of reading children's books aloud. So I've taken a field trip for this episode. Today, we took a field trip and we are recording at the newly reopened President Barack Obama Main Library in St. Pete. Now, if you haven't visited yet, you really should make a plan to. It's a beautiful space with a lot of programs for children and teenagers. Today's guest is Mandy Morris, the Youth and Family Services coordinator for the St. Petersburg Library System. She coordinates youth programming and services from birth to age 18 at all 7 of the Saint Petersburg Library locations. She also oversees a team of librarians and library professionals who execute youth and teen programming and provide outreach library services in the community. She will share some book recommendations and read one of her favorite's as we talk about holiday books.
