MUSIC SCENE Al Downing - Florida Artists Hall of Fame Inductees 2025

In this episode of Music Scene, host Nanette Wiser talks to Sounds of Healing podcast host Alvinette Downing, President of the non-profit Al Downing Tampa Bay Jazz Association about the huge news - AL Downing  will be inducted into the Florida Artists Hall of Fame 2025 along with Jim Morrison, Ray Charles, Burt Reynolds, Zora Neale Hurston, Tennessee Williams, Ernest Hemingway and others - 50 total. Al Downing  was an influential jazz musician, educator and civic leader. His eloquent daughter Alvinette recalls his rich life and legacy of her dad and mom Bunny.
