Lee Letourneau sits down with Anthony Jacobs in Chicago for the final episode of our FABTECH 2025 series. Anthony is the owner of Vigilante Welding and runs the popular YouTube channel Meltin' Metal Anthony, where he shares everything he knows about welding, entrepreneurship, and running a business.
Anthony kicks things off with the story behind Vigilante Welding's name, which goes back to the old west days in Ennis, Montana, where a group of vigilantes banded together to protect their town from highwaymen when there was no sheriff. The town still honors that legacy today, and Anthony carries it forward with his business.
Anthony's welding journey started in Florida around his dad's dump truck business. At 18, he picked up a welder to fix some broken equipment, and things took off from there. Completely self-taught, he soaked up everything he could from the welders and business owners around him before making the leap to Montana, building his house from the ground up, and launching Vigilante Welding.
