Between 2016 and 2018, Nick Reiner appeared on the Dopey podcast and described cocaine binges, heroin addiction, shooting crack, and violent outbursts while "spun out on uppers." He described destroying his parents' guest house during a stimulant binge. He described a cocaine heart attack. He estimated eighteen rehab stints.

Now TMZ reports the crime scene had "all the markings of a meth murder." Harvey Levin says sources indicate Nick was allegedly using meth after his medication change. He was arrested in a known drug area. The violence reportedly disturbed veteran investigators.

Clinical research is clear: stimulants and schizoaffective disorder are a catastrophic combination. Meth can trigger psychotic breaks even in patients compliant with their psychiatric medication.
