Banfield Will Testify: Expert Says Lululemon Search DESTROYS Catfish Timeline | Au Pair Affair Trial Day 7

The defense just landed its biggest blow yet. On Day 7 of the Brendan Banfield murder trial, digital forensics expert Harry Lidsky testified that the prosecution's catfishing theory doesn't match the device data—and he brought receipts.

The Lululemon problem is now front and center. Lidsky told the jury that within the same minutes the FetLife account was created on Christine Banfield's laptop, her phone was searching a New Year's Eve sale on the Lululemon website. He believes the same person was using both devices. If that's Christine, the entire theory that Brendan and Juliana secretly created the account falls apart.

Lidsky also testified that Brendan and the au pair weren't always home when Christine's devices accessed FetLife or Telegram. Someone was using those accounts. The prosecution says it was them. The defense says prove it.

Then there's the 45-minute call. Joseph Ryan had a lengthy Telegram conversation with someone he believed was Christine, discussing their plans. Who was on that call? The state can't say for certain.

The biggest development: Brendan Banfield will take the stand. His attorney announced it Friday. He didn't testify before court recessed due to an incoming winter storm, but he's expected to face prosecutor Jenna Sands next week.

Banfield has pleaded not guilty. Juliana Peres Magalhães says she watched him stab his wife. Now Banfield gets to tell his version. One of them is lying—and the jury is about to decide which one.
