In the early morning hours of December 6, 2004, college student Jason Aymami ran into a convenience store covered in blood. He told the clerk to call 911 because his roommate, Johnia Berry, needed help. They had both been stabbed in their apartment. 21-year-old Johnia Berry was found at the bottom of the stairs in her apartment building. She fought hard, but did not survive. Was this a crime of passion? Was this murder caused by a jealous friend? A jealous fiancée? Was this a home invasion? Johnia’s family, along with a team of dedicated detectives, would fight for nearly 3 years to find out who stole Johnia’s life.
