Forests are so scary because they feel alive in a way we can’t fully understand. They swallow sound, distort distance, and hide what’s only a few feet away, turning the familiar world into something uncertain. In a forest, you lose the clear boundaries that make you feel safe: there are no walls, no streets, no obvious escape routes, only endless trees and shifting shadows.
Our minds fill that ambiguity with threat, imagining eyes in the dark or footsteps just out of sight. Forests also represent nature untamed, a place where human control fades and something older, quieter, and indifferent seems to watch from the undergrowth.
In tonight's episode, we delve into the darkest corners of the forest with wonderful contemporary tales from Morrbanesh, Mr. Charms 505 and Mr. Evan 312. We begin with the horrors of 'In the woods' before moving on to ' The Adirondack Monster' and then rounding off with 'The Cabin with the Red Light.'
