Joe Mellor says he is enjoying the new challenge of moving into the loose forward position and feels his versatility is an asset to the Bradford Bulls.

He says it's an honour to be named captain of Bradford on their return to Super League; he describes himself as a lead-by-example player who prefers to influence through on-field actions rather than vocal leadership.

Joe says that one of the main positives so far has been the team’s ability to implement their pre-season playing style against tough opposition such as Hull FC and Catalans Dragons.

He values his long-standing relationship with coach Kurt Haggerty, and believes the attractive, dynamic Rugby League the Bulls are playing is gaining momentum and keeping fans engaged and entertained.
