GUEST BIO The Reverend J.C. Pritchett II is a pastor, civic leader, and bridge-builder based in St. Petersburg, Florida. Since 2015, he has served as pastor of Faith Church and as President and CEO of the Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance of Florida, where he works to strengthen collaboration among faith communities and advance justice-focused initiatives across the region. Reverend Pritchett’s leadership extends beyond the pulpit. He has served on the St. Pete History Museum Board of Trustees, the Pinellas County Historic Preservation Board, the City of St. Petersburg’s Citizens Redistricting and Charter Review Commissions, and is currently the Executive Director of the Suncoast Tiger Bay Club. A graduate of Saint Petersburg Theological Seminary and a participant in Harvard Divinity School’s Executive Leadership Program, he has been recognized with multiple awards, most recently the Humanitarian Award from the National Council of Negro Women and the Faith in Action Award from the NAACP.  Learn more here.
YOUR HOST  Beth Gelman is an actress and writer who became fascinated with religion and spiritual practices at a young age. A cantorial soloist, she has performed and taught liturgy and prayer in hundreds of churches, cathedrals, temples, synagogues, and educational institutions across the country, and has investigated a wide variety of spiritual and philosophical practices, from the well-known to the obscure. In addition to performing and writing, Beth has held leadership roles in arts and cultural institutions throughout Chicago and Tampa Bay. “My path has been eclectic, but all my experiences have reinforced my belief in the power of ritual, story, and song to connect, heal, and inspire.”
