He went on a small-town Halloween ghost walk mostly for fun. He didn’t expect to experience anything — and when the tour guide pointed out a specific “haunted” spot in an upstairs room, he stepped into it jokingly and dared whatever was there to show itself.

Nothing happened.

A few days later, while scrolling through pictures from that night, he noticed something standing unusually close beside him. It wasn’t a clear figure. Not a person. Not a shadow cast behind him.
