Rowan Milnes is one of four homegrown players returning to the Bradford Bulls in 2026, and has expressed his pride and excitement at playing Super League Rugby League for his hometown club again.

He feels the Bradford Bulls' 18-6 victory over Toulouse as "good" but "scrappy," noting the importance of being able to win even when not performing at their best, which he sees as a sign of a good team.

The Bradford halfback says he is deliberately making more carries and running at the line in 2026, using his improved physical presence to diversify his play.

Milnes discusses the importance of adapting to referees' styles, particularly regarding ruck speed and penalties.

He also states that the varying refereeing interpretations week by week are significantly affecting the flow of each game.

Whilst he felt Toulouse's tactics made the game slow, challenging and frustrating for the Bulls on Sunday.
