For most of 2025, Arkansas woman Charity Beallis had been going through a contentious divorce and custody battle with her estranged husband, Dr Randall Beallis. They had been fighting over custody of their 6-year old twins.
On December 2, 2025, a judge decided that Charity and Randall should have joint custody of the children. Charity was ordered to hand the children over to Randall on December 5.
On December 3, a welfare check was called in after Charity was unable to be contacted. When authorities entered her home, they found her and the twins dead.
Due to the tumultuous nature of the divorce proceedings, there were many questions as to how the mother and children died.
In March 2026, authorities released autopsy results. Charity took the lives of the twins before taking her own life.
