Kids are not good or bad; they feel safe or unsafe. Listen to tips on how to get kids to open up and feel safe enough to be honest.
In this episode, Javier Payano and Luisa Fernanda discuss the value of Goodness present in all people and then spend time exploring what pulls us out of feeling peace, how to come back when we’re activated, and simple ways to repair and reconnect with ourselves and our kids.
Essential question: What’s the hardest moment of your day to stay connected to your goodness?
Javier Payano has taught music in Chicago since 2008 and co-founded the Human Values Collective with his wife, Andrea. After training at the Sathya Sai School of Thailand, he began sharing universal human values—Love, Truth, Peace, Non-Violence, and Right-Action—with teachers, parents, and kids. Today, Javier helps families practice these values at home through the Bring Back Sunday Dinner practice—simple, meditative moments and real conversations that build character, confidence, and connection. His north star: creating courageous hearts in one million children.
