This is a Grave Talks CLASSIC EPISODE!
Horridge House has stood for more than a century, preserving the history of a small Iowa town through its rooms, artifacts, and carefully maintained past.
Built in 1859 and now home to the Benton County Historical Society’s museum and archives, the house offers a glimpse into another time. But for some, it offers something more.
Visitors and staff have reported shadow figures, unexplained sounds, and footsteps in empty areas of the home—activity that doesn’t always seem tied to the building itself. Some believe it may be connected to what the house holds.
With a collection of artifacts spanning generations, questions begin to surface about whether history can leave something behind—especially in a place where so much of it has been gathered in one space.
And then there’s the possibility that some of the home’s former residents, including George Horridge and his family, never fully left. In a house built to preserve the past, it raises a simple question: what, exactly, is still being kept here?
