Exploring an abandoned hospital didn’t seem like a big deal at first. It looked like every other place left to fall apart—quiet, empty, and honestly a little overhyped. As they moved through the rooms, the sounds didn’t stand out right away. Small things here and there, the kind you expect in an old building and don’t think twice about.

But there was one moment that didn’t line up.

Walking down a long hallway, he thought his friend had stepped into a room off to the side. He even turned to say something, only to realize his friend was still right behind him. It didn’t make sense, but neither of them stopped to figure it out. They just kept moving.

When they reached the end of the hall, something slammed behind them—loud enough to echo through the entire building and heavy enough that it didn’t feel like nothing.

They could have gone back to check what caused it. Neither of them even suggested it. They just left.
