Whatever Was in Building Three Only Came Out at Night | After Midnight

The factory changed after midnight.

Once production slowed and entire sections of the building shut down, the place became something else entirely—dark corridors, empty loading bays, motion lights flickering on and off as employees crossed through isolated parts of the facility alone. Most overnight workers learned quickly not to stare too long into darkened hallways.

Then the new security system was installed.

At first, the strange activity seemed easy to explain: false alarms, cameras disconnecting, motion alerts in locked sections of the building. But the patterns kept repeating. Lights activated in sequence through empty corridors. Security cameras tracked movement no one could see. Entire hallways appeared to react to something walking through them after shutdown.

And eventually, the system stopped reacting to the building. It started reacting to him.
