The Civil War Relic Nobody Wanted | Real Ghost Stories CLASSIC

While attending an estate auction in southern Indiana, a longtime Civil War collector was approached by a strange man offering to show him and another bidder an item not included in the sale. Curious, the two collectors followed him deep into a rural area to an abandoned barn sitting alone off a gravel road.

Inside the barn, hidden away in an old trunk, was a fragile Civil War medic’s cap connected to the seller’s family. Even stranger, the man refused to go near the trunk himself, insisting the others open it instead.

The other collector ultimately purchased the cap. But only a few months later, he abruptly contacted his new friend with an unusual request: he wanted the relic out of his house immediately.

According to him, the cap was haunted.
