What if the hardest moments of childhood could become the source of your greatest purpose? Stanley Bronstein shares a remarkable story of loss, synchronicity, weight loss, mindset transformation and the miracles that shaped his life.
In this extraordinary episode, I’m joined by Stanley Bronstein, an attorney, CPA, author, mindset coach, walking expert, and weight loss expert whose life story is filled with transformation, resilience, synchronicity and what can only be described as miracle moments.
Stanley’s story begins with profound childhood loss. When he was just eight years old, his mother died unexpectedly. Stanley remembers becoming completely “stone cold,” unable to cry or process what had happened.
Decades later, another family funeral would bring that childhood experience rushing back—and give Stanley an opportunity to help another grieving child in exactly the way he himself had needed someone to help him.
The Childhood Loss That Shaped an Entire Life
One of the most moving parts of this conversation is Stanley’s story of losing his mother when he was eight years old.
He didn't cry at her funeral.
At the time, nobody recognized how deeply the experience had affected him. There was no counseling and no intervention. Stanley simply learned to keep moving forward while carrying something enormous inside him.
Years later, he would realize just how profoundly that childhood experience had shaped him.
And then, approximately 25 years later, Stanley found himself standing at another funeral, looking at two young boys who had just lost their grandmother.
One boy was crying.
The other was standing there completely still.
Stanley looked at the younger boy and recognized himself. And to hear Stanley's miracle moment, you'll just have to listen to the episode-it's breathtaking, and changed two lives that day!
When Your Past Becomes Your Purpose
There is something extraordinarily powerful about the way Stanley's childhood experience eventually allowed him to help someone else.
Sometimes we don't understand the meaning of an experience while we're living through it.
Only years later do we discover that something we survived has given us the ability to recognize suffering in another person.
Stanley didn't simply see a grieving child.
He saw his younger self. And guess what? That changed everything!
Can You Really Change Your Life?
One of the biggest questions running through this conversation is whether we are permanently defined by our past.
Stanley's life suggests a different possibility.
Our experiences shape us—but they don't necessarily have to determine what happens next.
A difficult childhood can become part of your story without becoming the end of your story.
A health crisis can become a turning point.
A painful experience can eventually become a source of compassion.
And a decision made today can change the direction of an entire life! Seriously!
Why You’ll Want to Hear This Conversation
Stanley Bronstein's story is about far more than weight loss.
It's about grief, resilience, transformation, synchronicity, persistence and the mysterious ways our lives can connect across decades.
It's about a little boy who lost his mother.
It's about a man who later recognized that same little boy in another grieving child.
It's about tears that waited decades to be released.
It's about a family of snails appearing at a meaningful place.
And it's about discovering that no matter what has happened before, you still have the ability to decide what happens next.
If you're going through a difficult transition, trying to change your habits, working toward weight loss, healing from grief, or simply wondering whether it's possible to reinvent yourself, Stanley's story offers an unforgettable reminder:
Your life is not finished. You can change direction. You can begin again.
The world is yours to imagine—and then to make.
