What started as a fun honeymoon ghost tour through Charleston quickly turned into the kind of experience that’s hard to explain away.

While walking through one of the city’s old alleyways, the tour guide shared the story of a man who had been violently attacked and stabbed there years earlier. According to the guide, visitors on the tour would sometimes leave with an odd burning sensation on their leg… or even unexplained marks appearing afterward.

It sounded theatrical. The kind of creepy detail designed to get a reaction from tourists. And at first, that’s exactly what he assumed it was.

But not long after leaving the tour, he noticed a strange burning feeling in his own leg that wouldn’t fully go away. Later that night, back at the hotel, curiosity finally got the better of him.
