By the time Natalie and Brooke finally booked the overnight investigation, the abandoned hospital was already scheduled for demolition. Locals had spent decades telling stories about voices, footsteps, and lights moving through the upper floors after midnight, but most of it sounded like the same rumors attached to every abandoned asylum.

Until the fourth floor.

Their guide spent the entire night avoiding questions about that section of the building before finally admitting one thing: if they heard footsteps upstairs, they should not follow them. Hours later, they did anyway.
